About me (My Story, Why I Started Coaching!)
FIRST! I appreciate you being here. Seriously, it means A LOT!
I'm Patrick aka GainsByPat on social media.
I (obviously) LOVE fitness - I want to be healthy, look & feel my best, andddd be the best version of me.
BUT I also want to enjoy life (spend time with friends, have fun foods, get drinks, travel, enjoy my holidays).
However, when I first got into fitness & working on my own goals, around 10 years ago, it seemed like that was IMPOSSIBLE to do….
It was always the “ALL or NOTHING” approach - I had to be INSANELY healthy orrr If I wanted to enjoy life, I would NEVER make progress.
I made it my mission to learn HOW to make progress but still live & enjoy life. And I’ve been able to do that for myself - make a lot of progress losing fat, building muscle, AND having great life experiences on a regular basis (and just simply have a better relationship with food).
AND after 10+ years of working on my own fitness goals - learning about what workouts & nutrition habits/goals help you make progress losing fat (and keeping it off) while STILL enjoying life...
I realized my passion was to help others make fitness progress in a realistic, simple, enjoyable way!
I also realized that sooo many people were also stuck, feeling like they needed to be "all in" & SUPER STRICT with fitness orrrrr they should just not care about making progress & being healthy.
It was apparent that people (maybe you) didn't think that you could enjoy your life (going out, fun & tasty foods) and still make progress with their fat loss (or muscle building goals).
Butttt it's 1000% possible!!
That's why I started my fitness coaches business andddd why I started making social media content - to help you (and as many other people) understand & know how to make that kind of progress!
I've worked with 700+ 1-on-1 fitness clients in the last 7+ years doing just that….
I’ve helped them lose fat, build muscle, and improve their relationship with food/fitness (while still enjoy enjoying life)!
And I’d LOVE to work with you, to do the same, as well!
Fitness can be tough BUT I want to make it simple & realistic for you!
Okay okay, outside of my business/coaching, here's more about me!
- I'm originally from Columbus & Cincinnati, Ohio but currently live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (I also lived in Los Angeles for a few years from 2019-2021)
- My favorite food is Italian (butttt I don't discriminate, I love allllllll food)!
- The last 2 years, I’ve traveled a lot (Italy, France, Mexico) but recently am enjoying being in a routine (while having fun locally/with friends or quick trips)
- I grew up playing basketball & still LOVE watching it (I'm from Ohio - LeBron is my all time favorite player!)
- I used to work a Finance job but quit when I started my fitness business!
- I'm a big time people person & want everyone to succeed/thrive with what they do (including fitness - but me/my team is here to help with that)!
